NEW FOR 2025
NEW FOR 2025
I've been writing most of my life, getting the bug from a young age when a story of mine was read out at school. I love the feeling writing gives me, not only is it great to create something, but it is also proven to improve mental health and wellbeing. I've facilitated workshops in all sorts of environments from writing groups to hospices to a children's theatre company to a psychiatric ward for both patients and staff.
Leading on from this, I eventually trained as a counsellor as I could see the connection between being creative and improved wellbeing and mental health.
You may not even know what it is you want to write at this stage, but may find out as you go along and try the exercises I set to try during the workshop. You may already have been writing or stopped yourself writing, these workshops help you discover your voice, writing voice and inner voice, not just that critical voice that stops you.
Whether you intend to write fiction or call on old memories or simply write for your own enjoyment, feeling more confident or good about yourself generally comes along for the ride! You'll wonder where what you've written came from and start to trust your own creative process.
You won't have to read anything out unless you choose to or when you are ready! Most people like to share what they've written, but you don't have to, at all!
Contact me to book these workshops or ask for further information now.
I've had a novel published, short stories too, plays performed and won competitions.
