NEW FOR 2025
I've been writing most of my life, getting the bug from a young age when a story of mine was read out at school. I love the feeling writing gives me, not only is it great to create something, but it is also proven to improve mental health and wellbeing. I've facilitated workshops in all sorts of environments from writing groups to hospices to a children's theatre company to a psychiatric ward for both patients and staff.
Leading on from this, I eventually trained as a counsellor as I could see the connection between being creative and improved wellbeing.
Whether you intend to write fiction to be published or simply write for your own enjoyment or to feel better about yourself as a consequence is all the same to me. You'll wonder where what you've written came from, and whether you've written before or not, that usually feels good or therapeutic even.
You won't have to read anything out unless you choose to or when you are ready!
I've had a novel published, short stories too, plays performed and won competitions.
March 2025 -

I've been working on a new novel, Mascara Nights, that I started in lockdown, and I'm still polishing it and working on it. Doing these workshops will help me do that too.
